Computer viruses are common to internet user. Of course the solution to avoid from computer virus is installing antivirus protection or antivirus programs to your computer. The question is. Is that enough to protect your computer from virus? Nowadays USB storage or portable USB become so popular. I can say that it was a must tool to have.The reason it becomes so popular is because it is handy an easy to use and cheap. The popularity of USB storage has been exploited by virus maker. They make a virus that can easily spread through an external USB storage such as pendrive. In this tutorial I will guide you on how to protect your computer using portable antivirus antivirus programs installed to your pendrive or Flashisk. If you already have U3 USB Flashdisk this is probably similar to it.
Tool that we need is: Notepad and Portable antivirus programs (you may download it for free at Softpedia) I am using PortableAV antivirus programs Firstly open your Notepad and write this code: Or you may download my Autorun.inf
Download Example of Autorun.inf
Save it to your flash drive with filename Autorun.inf (see picture)
Copy your portable antivirus programs to your flash disk or external storage.
If you doing it right click on your flash disk and you will get this.
Double click on Scan_virus_First!!! and your portable antivirus programs will check tour Flashdisk before you can use it.
To open or access your Flashdisk or USB just right click and click open.
The last thing to do is hide your autorun.inf and your portable antivirus inside your Flashdisk. What you need to do is right click on Autorun.inf file and click properties. Tick the hidden option.
Click apply and then Ok. Good Luck! If you encounter any problem please state it in your comment. Remember to update your antivirus programs database!! Or spend a little bit of your salary for corporate antivirus software like panda antivirus software,norton antivirus server or symantec norton antivirus.

Note this method is not 100% virus proof. More aggressive virus will ignore the file attributes and simply overite overwrite the autorun.inf file
My alternative method is having a file container on the eternal storage that fills up the flash drive so that there is no disk space for a virus to even copy it self on to it. Worst case scenario is it modifies my autorun file which around at most is 4KB (that is a typical NTFS cluster size) which i can conveniently delete and copy over the backed up copy form a zip file on the same disk.

Thanx for the idea Au Yong.. yea this method is not 100% proven. Probably the best solution is flash disinfector. Where it will create read only autorun.inf folder. So it would be difficult for virus to owerwrite it.

I am sick and tired of having to format my hard drive and reinstall windows 10 times a year. I don’t understand way people create computer viruses anyway. I just wish windows 7 will be more secure.
