The original design of the Antenna was for the first time described by Naoki Inagaki (pp. 580-582). in IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, July, 1974. “Three-Dimensional Corner Reflector Array”. While The precise and explicit results of computer analysis and simulation were reported in July 2003. by L.B. Cebik W4RNL in the article: “The 3-D Corner Reflector”

Dragoslav Dobricic, YU1AW provided detailed information on how to design the Shortened 3D corner reflector antenna. In this paper also he provide a method on how to use the antenna with another frequencies and not just for wireless 2.4GHz. I haven’t tested the antenna myself but I am going to try this soon since the gain is quite high up and the design is quite straight forward. I think the only cons is the amount of metal used in this design, maybe can try the variation between the solid metal and wire mesh.
