I heard a lot of people complain about the new Apple Innovation “iPad” . For me iPad is suitable for those who love watching movie inside car because the display and the storage capacity is quite big. The whole iPad is not perfect as iPhone, no camera no multitasking and still no flash support. Some say that it just a big iPod touch with no extra function besides bigger display. Is up to buyer to choose, I am not really suggesting you guys to buy iPad, it is better to spend your money for Unibody Macbook or something that worth for $500 price tags.

After few months Steve Jobs announced an iPad, there are lot of so called iPad Alike that claimed to have better function than iPad itself. One of them is JooJoo. I just read the history of JooJoo and it seems that it has relation with Crunchpad that has been exaggerate by Michael Arrington from Techcrunch. You can read the whole story about the lawsuit and everything that related to JooJoohere. I dont have both devices in my hand, but the picture from Pc Mag can give you the better overview about JooJoo.

Last few month i post about how to Jailbreak Your Ipod Touch 2G using software from dev-team. The latest software from Devteam called Pwange Tool are now able to jailbreak iPhone 3GS model using 3.0 and 3.1 Firmware.

Warning!! PwnageTool 3.1.3, is not compatible yet with the latest iPhone 3.1.2 Firmware.

The procedure is simple because now this tool have user friendly graphical interface. All you need to do is follow the instruction provided step by step.

Just want to inform those who owned Apple Ipod Touch 2nd Gen with firmware 2.2.1 that The Dev Team has updated the version of Redsn0w. You can download it now at their website redsn0w.com. It is currently in beta version. I don’t want to try it yet for my Ipod Touch 2nd Gen.

If you are not fully confident with using the command line, then hold off for those simpler tools that will be released sometime soon.

Why should i jailbreak my ipod Touch?

Although redsnow is still in beta version but you can use it without doubt. Just do it properly and you won’t screwed up your ipod touch 2nd gen. Download iOS 4.3.2 for iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G, iPad, iPod touch
Download Redsn0w 0.9.6rc14 for Windows
Download Redsn0w 0.9.6rc14 for Mac
Download iTunes 10.2.2 for Windows or Mac

1. Update or restore ios 4.3.2 using iTunes
2.Start Redsn0w
3.While in redsnow browse IPSW to your latest IOS 4.3.2 firmware which downloaded before
4.Once your IPSW is successfully identify click next
5. Tick on the install Cydia
6. Follow the instruction on redsn0w to perform the DFU mode
7. Wait till the process to finish and you now have jailbreak your iPhone / iPod

Diy iPod Touch Dock

My DIY iPod Touch Dock was inspired by lot of great diy iPod/iPhone docks out there. I am using Perspex and the original iPod accessories (the white color) that come with the iPod Touch box. The tool and materials you need is just basic equipments for cutting and assembling Perspex.

How to
Cut the Perspex according to your need. Mine is 4cm wide (because I want to tilt my iPod about 60 degree) 7cm long (same long as the *white iPod accessories), 3 cm height (front) and 7.5cm height back. Attach them together with Perspex glue and it will look like a chair or a seat and. Voila you are done!! Consider this is just for fun; if you really love your iPod Touch spend some money for cool iPod Touch Dock. I desperately need one haha. Tips- to cut a perspex you have to consider the thickness of the perspex also. My current dimension is including the perspex thickness.

If you need to tilt the iPod more than 60 degree just change the height(back) or adjust the width, for me 60 degree is the nicest number.

Warning !!
Make sure you are familiar with the DFU mode
Make sure you already updated/restored your ipod touch to Firmware 3.0

Firstly you may need upgrade your iPod touch firmware from current version to the latest version. Download the latest version of ipsw file here http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/

Once you get the correct firmware just proceed with the Redsn0w V0.7 you can download it
