Unfortunately my new house doesn’t have phone connectivity.  I thought i can use Streamyx service but the Telekom officer told me that they need to survey my area first. I was in dilemma whether to wait for the confirmation or subscribe to Celcom broadband.

3 days of waiting… I made a rush decision and now I am Celcom broaband user. I still not satisfied with the speed, too slow lol but i can still stream from youtube without any problem. It seems that i have to find a hacks on how to boost my 3G signal, Researching for it right now. Hope to see the better result and better speed. For Celcom if you hear me ” Please improve your services” the number of  Celcom Broadband are increasing everyday.

I just bought that modem last month and subscribe to Celcom Broadband packages (Malaysia). After a month using celcom broadband I still not satisfy with the speed. Celcom broadband suck.. the connection is terrible.. every 15 minutes it keep disconnecting. What the funnnn!!.. Now I have to doubled my working time, since the connection is SUCK.. Maybe I have to find another alternative. External antenna maybe. Like my DIY wifi antenna, I have successfully quadrupled the gain. But with this Huawei E220 I think its not that easy to mod it. Need to reasearch first otherwise i will brick my modem.

The pictures shows the internal view of Huawei E220. The one in the red circle is the connector for the external antenna. Yes, it is possible to add the external antenna. We just need to find the suitable connector for that. I still searching for the suitable connector. Unfortunately the connector is smaller than ZTE MF622 .

As you can see at the back of ZTE MF622 there is a connector for external antenna.Zte External antenna

There are a lot of external antenna for ZTE modem, but for huawei E220 sigh! Where i can get it. Any suggestion. At least for the connector.
