There are three basic parts

1. Installing Server ( I am using Wamp Server)

In the part 2 you already learn on how to create database. So here in part 3 we will discuss about installing the WordPress inside your server.

3.Installing WordPress

Ok this is the final steps that you have to go through before start using wordpress inside your computer. Download The latest version of WordPress . Once again go to tray bar and navigate to www directory. This is where you should upload all your WordPress stuffs. Extract your WordPress files inside it.

The final steps is go to the tray bar again and click on localhost. Your default browser will show first page of WordPress asking you to set up the database or config.php files. Just input your data from part 2. If you encounter any problems feel free to drop a comment here. Thanks folks

Hello guys! This is my first post here on a new blog platform. Say goodbye to blogger or .blogspot. I am now Mr. WordPress’s user . For the past few weeks i took time to familiarize myself with WordPress. What I do is I install WordPress package inside my computer server. If you are “newbie” don’t get afraid with word “server”. Actually everyone can have their own server as long as you have a computer. The simplest server i found is Http file server HFS. See Raymond.cc post about that little tiny server.

Why do i install WordPress inside my computer? The first reason is i don’t have permanent internet connection lol.I also can avoid myself from wasting my hosting bandwidth since its limited. I can screw up my template or database without any fear of losing it. Its good for theme testing purposes.

1. Installing Server ( I am using Wamp Server)

Download Wamp server from original website www.wampserver.com . Xampp server also do the same. In this tutorial i am using Wamp server since it comes with build in MySql and PHPMyAdmin (Database Manager). After finished downloading Wamp server, follow this installation steps. I skip few basics steps.

Just Click open to proceed

Hit finished and your server is ready!

Installing WordPress Inside Computer As Simple As ABC

There are three basic parts

1. Installing Server ( I am using Wamp Server)

2. Setting up the MySql database

3. Installing WordPress

In the part one I already mention to you on how setup Wampserver. Part 2 will cover the basic on how to setup the database. WordPress require MySQL to work. The procedure is still the same. You have to create the database name, username and password. These data are required to run popular 5 minutes wordpress installaltion.

2. Setting up the MySql database

After part one finished (Wamp server installation part). Check your Wamp server icon on the tray bar.

Click on that icon and navigate to phpMyAdmin page like this.

Inside phpMyAdmin we will create the required database to make wordpress work. Go to “Create new Database” and enter your database name.Then we have to assign username and password to our database. Click on priviledge

Inside the priviledge page click on edit to assign username and password.

Next is create your data . Make sure you remember the username and password.

Congratulations! If you follow this steps correctly your database is ready for WordPress and you can continue to part 3.
